I come to Key West several times a year for work, but this last trip was the first time I had been to Lagerheads. What an awesome place! The first day we went, we rented some lounge chairs on the sandy point, started a tab and enjoyed the live music, sun and cool water. The location is great, right at the west end of Simonton Street, and perfectly hidden from the crowds. We had such a good time the first day, that we came back the following day and enjoyed more of the same. David, Debbie and Dan were super attentive, the drinks were cold and the food was great. I am looking froward to the next trip down so I can try the fish tacos.

Perfect little spot on a little beach. Friendly service, great foot-long hot dogs, and all the necessities for an afternoon at the beach. They even rent beach chairs. Definitely come here for a few hours during your KW weekend!

Fish tacos are really good. I especially love the cookie side :) This is for sure a beach bar with a water view. Don't expect air conditioning. Bring a suit and drink a few beers and get in the water.

Food was good. A little pricey. Location is a bit under rated. (Its not going to make a postcard) But the sunsets are awesome. The beach is public. It's a close walk to duval street. Well worth a simple meal and sunset view on the dock that extends out over the water. Otherwise it sure beats eating here on a beach with w view than the 100 + restaurants in duval street.

Lagerheads is a quaint little beach bungalow food shack located on Simonton Beach. We had a very pleasant experience speaking with the counter service person, Stephanie, when getting our beach chairs and ordering our food. She was very nice as was her neighbor Katia, the girl selling water adventures at an accompanying booth. I enjoyed a draft Blue Moon with an orange slice, my husband a Mic Ultra. For lunch my husband enjoyed the fish tacos, and for me the crab cakes. Both came with a piece of cantaloupe and a chocolate chip cookie. What a sweet treat and how thoughtfully planned for a small establishment. My husband said the taco's were very good, as was my crab cake, though it could have been hotter throughout when you cut into them. We would both get these again. All in all it was a lovely experience, and we look forward to seeing Stephanie and Katia again.

I went to Lagerheads for drinks and a quick bite to eat while visiting Key West. I used navigation to find the restaurant. It can be complicated to find if you're not familiar with Key West. Lagerheads is a small restaurant located by the water. The owner kindly greeted us while looking over Lagerheads menu. I had a drink and crab cakes. Our drinks were average. The crab cakes were tasty. Food comes with a small piece of fruit and cookie. Prices were reasonable for food and drinks. The best part about Lagerheads is the views in my opinion. Customers get a nice view of the water while eating/drinking (very relaxing). Lagerheads has lounge chairs and umbrella for rent (if you want to lay by the restaurant). I enjoyed my short time at Lagerheads. I give Lagerheads a 4.5 rating.

The owners here are great along with the delicious fish sandwiches! Low key, plenty of beer to choose from and a chocolate chip cookie that comes with each sandwich!!! We'll come back when we're here again.

Great little spot at the end of Simonton. Never knew it existed other than the old "bum beach". A bunch of pay parking spots owned by the city...reasonable rates. Otherwise typical seaport parking. Fish tacos were excellent. Tons of tasty fish and a nice mango relish thing on top. Add hot sauce and you've got a great meal. A few beers on tap...Sweetwater Blue was fantastic. Nice little Keys beach with chairs and sand. Not really for swimming but nice tanning location. Bonus....you can see military planes training off in the distance occasionally. When we were there we saw special forces parachuting out of aircraft. Highly recommended.

these is definitively the place where you can watch sunset on the beach and at affordable prices with a reasonable beer selection. Will return!

Great tacos. Horrible customer service. The order took about 45 minutes longer than it should have. Don't come here unless you have nothing but time. Incredibly rude and non apologetic.

Quaint little place by the water. The fish tacos were really good. It's more of a dive than anything but the food was good and so we're the margarita.

Great location on a man made beach at the end of Simonton (west end of street). Little beach shack, with yummy fish tacos, served with a mango tomato salsa on top. Their hotdogs are good too and huge! Tried their sangria and enjoyed that as well. Wanda was very friendly. They have chaises for $10 includes umbrella and there are table and chairs with umbrellas on the sand as well as a few stools in the shack facing the water. Go enjoy, relax and take a dunk in the water. You will be happy you did!

A very unique little spot. They have a waterfront bar on a small section of beach between the Pier House and the Hyatt. You can rent a chair to lay out at the beach there and have a few drinks.

Awesome fish tacos, and great margaritas. The woman at our bed and breakfast recommended this place, and I am so happy we experienced it. The staff was very friendly, and a bonus its on a small beach. Very relaxing!

Was here in October but they were due to the city doing work. Made it there this time and it was worth it. The fish tacos were just outstanding. Nice to have a cold beer with the beach view.

Great food but a little on the pricey side. Staff was nice and chef was very welcoming. Seating area is limited to about 5 chairs unless you want to pay for a table and chairs on the beach. View is amazing!

Right on the beach. The gal behind the counter was great!! The fish tacos were really good!!!

Really happy to have found this hidden gem. A casual laid back reasonably priced tropical beach bar, nestled on a tiny but lovely beach right between the Hyatt and the Pier House. I had the smoked fish dip, which was excellent. My sister had a fish sandwich which was awesome -- perfectly seasoned and grilled. They had a great singer there on Sunday afternoon.
